BrioTap is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, profile photo, bio, and links when you create or edit a card. We also collect usage data such as which cards are viewed and when, and technical data like device type and IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve BrioTap, to display your public profile cards when someone scans your QR code, to send transactional emails such as account confirmations, and to analyze usage trends to improve the service.
3. Information We Share
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who assist in operating our infrastructure (hosting, analytics, email delivery), and only to the extent necessary. We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Public Profile Cards
Information you add to a BrioTap card and choose to make public — including your name, photo, headline, and links — will be visible to anyone who accesses your card URL or scans your QR code. Be mindful of what you include.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, your profile cards will be deactivated and your personal data will be removed within 30 days.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure storage. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
BrioTap is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will promptly delete the data.
8. Your Rights
